Did You know That I'm Versatile?

I love blogging! So many wonderful people.  The best way to find out about the newest (and sometimes the oldest) things.  Yesterday, I blushed with pride to know someone was thinking I was special.  Thanks to Tynk from Ruffles and Raspberries I felt all special today (yesterday by now, but heck I'm still feelin' special).  Tynk came for a visit and left me an award.  Seeing how I was never very competitive or sports oriented in school, it feels really cool to get an award now.   I was bestowed the Versatile Blogger award!   Thank you, thank you.  (You can't see me but I'm bowing now).

In return for this award I need to write 7 things about myself.  Hmmm....

1.) I love anything soft, furry or sweetly scented.  I only have 1 dog baby, Mattie and 2 cats now.  I have had baby chicks, ducks, a rabbit and a couple of racoons.  I think I'll stick with the 1 dog and 2 cats for now.  But I've always loved puppy and kitten breath.  I'll snuggle a baby any chance I can get and stuffed animals or fuzzy Easter basket chicks are always welcomed.

2.) I've been blogging for almost 2 years and had no idea when I started, that this would become so important to me.  I just love all the sweet people I've met and I'm having so much fun.

3.)  I love water and can swim like a fish.  (I said fish, not Olympic gold medalist).  I've never been afraid of water and always go out too far and always stay too long, even as a little girl.  No fear at all!

4.) When I was little I was a prissy tomboy.  What is that, you ask?  It's a girl who loves all the girly stuff like dolls, dress up and make up but could get dirty with the best of the boys.

5.) I have totaled a couple of cars.  I even flipped a little MG when I was 17.  I totaled my first car at 16.  It's a miracle I'm still alive.  A dare-devil who loved speed (no not the drug).  I always wanted to be a race car driver.  I'm sure my parents would be proud to know that I've finally slowed down.

6.)  I spent the night in a haunted house.  Yes, really.  No, I wasn't real happy about it.  And no I didn't see anything, but it was a family members home and lots of people had.

7.)  I'm super curious about the weirdest things.  For instance... Do you think any of the members of the Royal family, growing up asked to see some of the super stuff that's probably just crammed in the attics?  What about Kate?  Do you think she was like, come on show me something top secret and really cool?  Do you think Prince William has ever seen or heard a ghost in one of those old castles?

There's seven bit's of silliness about me.  I would have loved to have been able to say I was a published author or I've traveled the world but that just wouldn't be true.  Now it's time for me to award the Versatile Blogger award to 15 other bloggers that I follow. I hope you take some time and visit their blogs to congratulate them if you already know them and if you don't please go and introduce yourself to these sweet and talented girls.

Y'all have a blessed day!!!
Thank you Tynk!

  1. You're so welcome, and you really deserve it! I love reading your blog. Reading your post this morning made me giggle a little bit.. on a couple of your #'s.. we are alike on a few of them! My mind NEVER shuts down, I'm constantly thinking the odd things, like you!! The swimming part, I LOVE the water too. Always swimming way too far out, and for too long! LOL

We went to St. Augustine a few months ago, and I demanded that we stay in a haunted house/inn. We did.. the only thing that happened was our keys were setting on the buffet table next to the TV. I turned to kiss Mr. Ruffles goodnight.. literally a second later my keys dropped off the table. It was the weirdest thing EVER. We were both in bed, and no we weren't jumping on the bed so the "house" shook.. there was no reason for the keys to move off the table like that!! Crazy!! But, loved every second of it. The next morning we got up at around 5am so we could drive around the old streets and take pictures, hoping to get some shots of ghost globes.. LOL Sometimes I wonder, "Why am I such a dork", and then think.. who cares!?

Hope you have an awesome day today, Tracy!! It's been fun reading your blog, can't wait to read more!!
    Big hugs.. Sherri

  8. Tracy, Thank you so much! I love everything that you shared about yourself. I was such a dare devil and girly tomboy growing up also. I am so looking forward to getting to know you even more.
It always helps to know that someone else enjoys your posts. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just a rambling crazy lady. Once again, thanks for the shout-out. I love blogging!
