Dial Holiday Foaming Hand Wash - My Purex Insiders Review

Purex Insiders sent me a new Dial Foaming Hand Wash kit to review. Even the Insider Kits are festive. I love it when the shipping box is all dressed up.  Lets open it up and see what we've got!
Two bottles of Purex Dial Complete Hand Wash and they're all dress up in limited edition holiday designs.  I'm going to get in the festive spirit and decorate my home for the season!  You can too.
Let's see where should they go?  The 1/2  bath room seems like the right placeNow guest can enjoy them too.
How cute is that Santa!  He makes me smile when I wash my hands.  Maybe he'll  encourage the grandkids to wash theirs too.
I like the fun Christmas trees too.  I think I'll move this one to the kitchen sink.

I love these dressed up necessities for my sinks.
The Holiday Collection gives you a choice of:
  • Santa
  • Snowman
  • Candy Candy
  • Holiday Scene
  • Did you know that Dial Complete is the #1 doctor recommended antibacterial foaming hand wash.
  • This formula kills 99.9% of germs encountered in the household setting while still being gentle on skin.
You can find more information about Dial soap by visiting  these sites:

My Opinion:

I don't like bars of soap on my counters they're just plan messy, not to mention dirty looking.  Having a pump bottle is a must for me.  And pretty container like these are just a real plus.  After decorating all the rooms in my house for the holidays I want that extra touch of pretty in my soap dispenser too.  The scents are light, fresh and clean smelling.  I've also found that the foaming soap is easier for kids to rinse off then regular soap.  Dial was the first antibacterial soap introduced in the United States.  It's been around since the 1940's, it's a brand that I grew up with and a brand that I trust.

Purex Baby Detergent Review and Giveaway - 3 Winners!!!

Being a Purex Insider has great benefits.  Like receiving great new products to try.  When a box like this comes in the mail you can't help but be excited to open it.
A full size bottle of Purex Baby liquid laundry detergent that is looking for a review and my honest opinion.

I no longer have babies in the house but I do have family members with sensitive skin and I know how regular laundry detergent can be a nightmare for them.  One of the biggest complaints of using laundry detergent for sensitive skin is that it doesn't have a nice scent. With Purex Baby that's not a problem because you can have it all.
It's gental on Baby's Skin.
Tough on Baby's Messes.
Tough on yours too!
  • It's Hypoallergenic
  • Dermatologist-tested formula
  • Bright, white clean with a gentle baby-inspired fragrance
Purex knows that you want the best for your family and that doesn't mean spending a fortune on baby-safe products.  So you can save some money on Purex Baby detergent, which costs a fraction of the leading brand, without jeopardizing quality.

I was very pleased with the cleaning power of Purex Baby detergent.  It worked great on the tough stains (like the messy food stains the adults make in our house).  Plus I still got the soft pleasing scent in my laundry that makes me smile.

Purex Baby is not available in every store.  To find a store near you that carries Purex Baby detergent, try using the store locator at:
www.purex.com/products/detergents/baby.

Now I bet you'd like to hear how you can win a coupon for a FREE bottle of Purex Baby, right?  A BIG thanks to Purex for giving 3 Cotton Pickin Cute readers a chance to win a coupon for a FREE bottle!  To enter just use the Rafflecopter form below.  You can enter as little or as many of the chances as you'd like (just be sure to complete the first one which is mandatory).

And be sure to stop by Purex to enter the Purex Oh Baby! Sweepstakes because 3 lucky winners will each receive a grand prize of $500! An additional 250 winners will win free Purex Baby Detergent!. Awesome, right?

Disclosure:  Purex provided me with a sample of Purex Baby detergent in exchange for a product review.  However, all the opinions expressed here are my own.

What do Vintage Soda Crates and Christmas Ornaments Have in Common

I've been collecting Christmas ornaments for years.  One thing I make sure to do is buy the grandchildren a new ornament each year.  I like the thought of them having at least 20 very special ornaments each to start their own family tree with one day.
After 10 years that adds up to a lot of ornaments.  I usually have two full size tree's up but this year I only put one up.  And what do you do when you decide to go with a new look one year?  I still want to see all those special ornaments that bring back so many memories.
When researching idea's, that's a fancy way of justifing the time I waste on Pinterest, yes I'm addicted, I came across this great idea.  Dana from Circa Dee's crate display had been pinned and I knew I'd found my answer.  If there's one thing I don't lack around here it's old stuff!  You can see Dana's beautiful display here.
No this one crate doesn't hold all my extra ornaments but it does make a sweet vintage display.  You are limited on size but I was able to display some very special ones.  Some of the little trains from my Christopher Radko set, the engine wouldn't fit :(, and few that were chosen for Zach and Ki'a.
I used jute twine to hang the ornaments and tie around the dividers.  On the top row I just stapled the twine to the inside of the top.  Easy as pie!

I hope you liked it and it inspires you to create something wonderful with what you have.

If you like it or have your own ideas for Christmas displays, I'd love to hear about it in the comments.  I just LOVE reading them.
Warm Hugs Ya'll...

DIY Advent Calendar - Oh My Only 12 Days Till Christmas

Where did this month go?  Oh my' - there are only 12 days till Christmas!!!  Why didn't someone tell me?  Was I in some kind of time warp or something?  Well I have been getting a few little projects done here and there.  One of which I thought I'd share today.
I did manage to get an Advent calendar uh' sign or something done before the 24th.  Okay, so the grandkids got to double up on candy for the first few days.
I BELIEVE I'll be using this for years to come.
I wish I would have thought take photo's so I could show you a simple tutorial, but hey I didn't even know that December was slipping away.
It really is a pretty simple project.  Here's the basic steps:
  1. Paint a board.  I found an old piece of plywood we had laying around and mixed up some old leftover blue and white paint to get the color I wanted.  $0.00 money there.  Oh' go ahead and paint your clothes pins here too.
  2.  Using scrapbook paper I had on hand I glued it to the from of the clothes pins and trimmed them out with scissors.  $0.00 money there too.  I had the clothes pins on hand but you can buy a package of them at Family Dollar for around $2.00.
  3. Using Dixie Cups, had them on hand too.  Just enough - 24 exactly after using one for the pattern! Whew!  I took one apart and traced the side to make a pattern.  I then cut out 24 in coordinating colors of scrapbook paper and glued them around the cups. Trim the bottom if it's a little long.  $0.00 money there.  Do you  see a pattern?
  4. Glue ribbon around the tops and add a little bow. $0.00 again.
  5. Punch holes on the sides of each cup and handles made with tinsel chenille stems/pipe cleaners.  $0.00
  6. Using the cups to measure, space the clothes pins out on your board and glue.  Be sure to put something heavy, like dictionary's, boxes, whatever on top to weigh it down till it dries about 1 hour.  I hung my off the side so they  would tilt.  Added benefit is you now have a card holder too!
  7. Using my cricut I cut out the numbers for the days out of a cereal box.  The weight makes great chipboard for painting and gluing.  $0.00, yes again!  You can buy chipboard #'s, stick on #'s or even paint your own with a paint or marker.  Get creative!
  8. Now for the messy part.  Spread the numbers with glue and add glitter.  Then attach to the front of each cup. $0.00.
  9. Add a phrase like Believe, I stenciled and painted.  Hang and your done.

There you go a easy do with what you've got, zero cost DIY project that will last!

I must have done something right because my granddaughter said "Grandma you finished it!  It's SO pretty"!!  Now that will put a smile on your face.

I hope you enjoyed it.  Come back tomorrow to see more Christmas projects.  If you made a Advent calendar of your own, I'd love to hear about it.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Ya'll....
Tracy ♥

Winn-Dixie Holiday Recipes to Impress e-Book - Win $500

Winn Dixie asked for my help and YOUR help on a fun project.

With the holidays fast approaching they are asking the question "How are you celebrating local flavor during the holidays"?  Do you have a big family dinner?  Maybe it's the family you weren't born to but have created with friends.  Is there a special dish local to your city or where you are from that you look forward to enjoying for the holidays?

Well Winn Dixie wants to hear all about it!  Submit your recipe for a chance to be featured in the final Holiday Recipes to Impress e-Cookbook.  After the holidays, top recipes will be selected and included in the completed e-cookbook and shared for fans to download!

You'll also want to checkout the Winn Dixie website, where you'll find tips on entertaining  as well as great recipes to help you plan all your holiday festivities.

When the Christmas holidays start to roll around,  family recipes are one of the first things I start thinking about.  Having tradition foods sitting around the house just makes everything seem so festive.  Just sitting out a bowl of fresh fruit and nuts,  especially oranges and tangerines since we live in Florida, always remind my sister Joni and me of our mom.  That was her tradition.

My family wouldn't think it was Christmas without having a dish of Cherry Salad.  Don't let the name fool you.  It's totally a dessert.  The cherry's add the punch of red to make it Christmas special and the pineapple give it that tropical feel.  Don't expect it to last long.  Here's my recipe for Cotton Pickin' Cute Cherry Salad for you and your family to enjoy.
I have a special invite for you too.  Winn Dixie would like to have you join them for a Twitter party.

A Crafty Winter with Julie Cutshaw

A lot of you remember me mentioning my friend Julie before but did I tell you how talented she wasShe's oozing with crafty talent in so many catagories.  Do I sound jealous?  Well, can you blame me.  She loves painting like the wintery scenes she's done below.  I love seeing old items like these wooden windows, being recreated and used for new purposes

Isn't this the cutest little outfit.  Julie made a pillow case top from novelty prints and then hand painted the same scene onto a pair of jeans.  Isn't she the smartest thing?  I adore the Peanut Gang scene.  Julie also makes custom order items.

I believe the wintery art windows are for sale now.  Stop by and check out her Pinterest page.  You'll find her creations and also all the cute things she pins from blogland.

You can follow Julie's blog here or http://mamawjsmomentaway.blogspot.com/.  She's a BzzAgent too and likes to share her product reviews, host giveaways, and share the ones she finds with readers.  I hope you'll stop by, tell her I sent you and become a new follower.

You can also follow her on Pinterest here or  http://pinterest.com/juliecutshaw/.  She's quite the pinner.

I'm pretty sure Julie and I were separated at birth. Except she got all the painting skills. lol.

I Love Mattie and Mattie Loves Eukanuba

Remember me telling you that one of my newest BzzAgent campaigns, is one that my resident expert Mattie - our fur baby is testing.  Well without a doubt she's enjoyed it!
There's not a  bite left in the bowl when we feed her. I love knowing she likes it but more importantly that it's healthy.

Eukanuba has given me so much information about pet care.  Did you know that your dog may have dental issues that you can't see?  In fact, 85% of dogs have tarter build up by age 3.  Untreated these issues can lead to painful extractions, tooth loss and abscesses.  You can help keep your dog's canines healthy with Eukanuba, the only leading brand that is powered by complete nutrition and superior diet protection  in every adult and senior diet.

Recommended by vets, Eukanuba with 3D DentaDefense keeps your dog in top condition from tooth to tail.  I wish I would have discovered Eukanuba sooner.  Mattie's 13 years old now and has very few teeth left.  Unfortunately they do have tarter.

It makes me so happy to know that she's actually enjoying a healthier food and that I'm giving her a product that contains NO fillers!

Disclosure:  I recieved the products above to assist in my review.  All opinions are my own

Will Your Dog Eat EUKANUBA? Let's Review

Being a BzzAgent is a family affair at my house.  Not only do I get to review some of the best products ever but so does the rest of the family.

Remember Neil took advantage of the Luster Premium White for a brighter smile.  And I just finished using the Cordicidin HBP Cold & Flu, which was right on time and great by the way.  Now our fur baby gets to try the EUKANUBA.

First things first.  I love getting to open my new BzzAgent campaign kits and see what goodies have come my way.

My Bzzkit included a FREE coupon for one 20lb bag of Eukanuba, a black light flashlight to look for tarter build-up on Matties teeth,  a Doggy Ball and a bone shaped USB!  See why I love being a BzzAgent.  The ball's a little bit to big for mattie to wrap her mouth around but my cats are having a ball with it.  Win-Win for all the pets.

I headed to Petco to pick up my free bag of Eukanuba and I chose the Eukanuba Small Breed Adult.

Just take a look at the ingredients and the product description.

Recommended For: 1+ YEARS

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

  • 100% Nutrition 0% Fillers
  • Packed with 12% more protein and fat* ideal for a small breed's higher metabolism and smaller stomachs

All that being said, it's no good if your pet won't eat it.  And I had my doubts.  It didn't have any colorful little chunks in it.  So did Mattie like it?
You bet she did!  I put the bowl down and she gobbled it up without even having to be teased into it.  - Yes we normally pretend we like it first.  Don't judge me people.  You do it with your children, I do it with my fur baby.
She loved it.  Lip smacking good - loved it.  By the way, I even caught the cats sneaking some when Mattie was drinking water.  That just goes to show you that those cute colorful shaped pieces of pet food are more for the owner than the pet.

So bottom line, will I be buying Eukanuba again?  You betcha' - Mattie loves it, it makes me feel like a good mom for providing her with good nutrition.

A big thank you to Eukanuba for providing me all these great gifts to share with my girl.

Disclosure: I recieved the products above to assist in my review.  All opinions are my own

A Febreze Prize Pack Giveaway For Your Home

Mmmm -I love the smell of the holiday season
I bet that I'm not the only one either,  Febreze has my home smelling like the holidays.  I love the Cozy Vanilla Sugar scented candle on my buffet.  This is no little candle with fast fading scent either.  It's in an elegant jar which is made with a thick glass to keep it from being easily knocked over and there are no labels to distract from the simple elegance.  A big plus for me since AI don't want advertising in my decorative displays.  And the was has a long lasting scent.

It's really important to me that my home smells nice.  I love changing scents as the seasons change.  Febreze isn't new to our house.  The NOTICEables are one of my favorite products.  You can just plug them in and forget about them.  That way the house is getting two fresh, alternating scents that last up to 30 days.

We have an open floor plan and I plug the NOTICEables in the foyer and I can smell them in the living room, dining room and kitchen.  It's the first thing all those unexpected holiday guest smell when they walk in.  And believe me they notice, hence the name.

My granddaughter Ki'a was here when my package arrived with all goodies you see above.  She's loves opening my packages and the first thing she said was "Grandma, this box smells good".  As soon as she saw everything she ran to let her granddaddy smell.  I could hear her telling him excitedly
"Granddaddy is Vanilla Sugar, doesn't it smell good?".  Hours later when her mom came to get her she did the same thing.  Of course my Christal wanted to know the name so she could get one too.

Last but not least I keep the spray air freshener in my kitchen for when I need that extra boost of scent to cover up those big odors.  Imagine burnt popcorn - yuck, or worse cabbage.  Love eating it but hate smelling it.  It does a great job of covering those odors.

You know I'm usually a apple/cinnamon type of girl in the colder months.  I've never liked the air fresheners in the heavy sweet scents like sugar cookies, etc.  but I really, really love the Cozy Vanilla Sugar.

The Holiday Collection includes 6 warm and inviting scents  scents to refresh your home:
  •  Apple Spice and Delight: The warming scent of fresh-baked apples coated with sweet cinnamon (available only online)
  •  Cozy Vanilla Sugar: Sweet as notes of vanilla that comfort you like a cocoon of blankets
  •  Cranberries and Frost: Rich as ripe cranberries and frost on a white winter’s day
  •  Glistening Alpine: As soothing as a tree-lined mountainside glistening with the scent of pine
  •  Winter Magic and Glow: Crisp as sunshine-lit icicles in fresh, frosty air
  •  Holiday Bloom and Cheer: As cheerful as a chorus of holiday aromas blended with winter blossoms

Febreze wants to make your holiday home special too.  They not only provided me with the gift pack above, they are generously giving one Cotton Pickin Cute reader the chance to win the following so you can chose your own fragrance:
  • A $10 Febreze Coupon Booklet
  • $15 Visa Gift Card
