101 Bible Adventures Book Review - Childrens Christian Bible Review

I'm always interested in books that share the truth of the Bible in kids language.  I have 3 grandchildren and a tween niece and nephew as well as 2 teenage nephews.  I like to know that there are books that can not only teach but entertain and keep their interest.  Like this one that is going to my youngest nephew, Victor.  Gotta love that funny kid.

So when Tyndale gave me the opportunity to review 101 Bible Adventures - The Ultimate Quest For Truth, I didn't skip a beat.  I even love the cover which is so adventurous and appealing to both boys and girls.  Bible Adventures is more than just a book for reading.  It teaches in the way kids can understand, through the use of  funny illustrations, a key verse and an interaction section to help them apply the teaching to their own lives.

Being written using the New Living Translation makes it so easy for kids to read, relate to and understand.  Oh' why didn't they have that when I was a kid.

As the back cover of the book shares:
Shipwrecks! Plagues! Miracles! Battles! You thought Indiana Jones was exciting?  Wait until you see what's in God's Word!
God's people experienced lots of action and adventure throughout history.  In this book you'll find 101 of the most action-packed stories ever written.  And yes-they're all from the Bible!

Each story features:
  • A brief overview so kids can get a bird's-eye view of the Bible story

  • A key verse that sums up the story's meaning

  • An application section that challenges kids to make their faith active
I'd give this book 5 stars.  It's easy enough for a grade schooler to read and I think it's a wonder book to use at bedtime for children and parents to connect with stories of the Bible.

Bestselling auther Carolyn Larsen has written more than 40 books for children and adults.  This was illustrated by Rick Incrocci.

Disclosure:  I was provided with this book from Tyndale Publishers for exchange of my honest review.

  2. Your review is wonderful on this book! I love the simplicity of this book! Tracy, when my husband got saved he had no clue about bible stories. I had bought a Children's Story Book Bible for my girls (All 3 were young at the time) Each night we would gather in the living room and my oldest daughter would read to him one story. That is how he learned the biblical stories. God is good! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
