Has anyone else out there had to deal with "Chonic Fatigue Syndrome"?  The Dr. told me that's what he thinks is wrong but didn't offer much in the way of advice.  Don't you just love that?

I would love to hear from anyone else who has had to live with this or work they way through it.  Any tips and suggestions would be appreciated.  Unlike what the message above says, I'll be grateful to hear from ya'll.

Hugs....Tracy :)

  1. I have several friends with this. It is difficult to deal with, but I know they've been able to find ways that help and work for them. My understanding is that just because someone finds something that helps THEM, it doesn't mean it's gonna help YOU, so you may need to do a lot of trial and error until you find the right thing. Best of luck and know that you CAN find ways to cope with this and have a decent life.

  2. Oh, I am so sorry to hear this, Tracy!! From what I've heard, this is a nebulous disorder with no clear cut answers. Keep the faith, try anything and everything, and know that we're praying for you!

  3. I'm sorry...I don't have this, but I do understand some of the feelings. Because of a combination of things I've needed lots of rest and had my energy zapped while looking healthy. I know the feeling of everyone else thinking you are a slacker or just lazy. Hang in there and try to pace yourself. I think it's like some other disorders where you can have periods of remission and actually feel good at times!

  4. Our sweet friend, Dennis, has CTS and it's changed his life since 1985. :( We all have to remember he just needs a lot of rest and sleep all the time.

Thinking of you Tracy... I have an auto immune disorder and as long as I remember that I fair better than GREAT!

    Love to you~

  5. So sorry to hear this Tracy. Sure wish I had some suggestions for you. Just some basic thoughts: be sure to not over do...not that you feel like it but..., eat well, be good to yourself.
Is this what was causing the pain? I didn't realize CFS was painful. Take care and know I'm thinking and praying for you.

  6. Tracy,
It has been sooo long since I have been here....I am sorry to her about the CFS....it is a lot like Fibromyalgia, and I can relate.....we just lost one of our dearest friends and after I get thru his service on Saturday, I will email you.....I am sorry you don't feel good and I know what it feels like! Take care, Love, Sandy

  7. I used to have a doctor that told me I had that... or I was just depressed & offered me a script for Prozac. Um, I got a new doc.

I have an illness that I've had since I was a child... (Pancolitis) It causes me to have A LOT of other symptoms. After some blood work I found I am EXTREMELY vitamin D, B12 and Iron deficient. NO WONDER I am always tired. So, I take Prescription Strength vitamins... & get blood work done regularly. & I feel a little better.

If I were you, I'd find a new doc. Once I did, who offers A LOT of advice, a lot of alternative methods.. not just medical... it helped A TON.
