Sniffles and runny noses have been the norm around our house for the last couple of weeks. Boy was I glad Coricidin HBP arrived at my house when it did.
Did you know that people who have high blood pressure should avoid certain cold medicines? I'm ashamed to say that I didn't, especially since Neil does take high blood pressure medicine.
Most over-the-counter options contain decongestants which can raise your blood pressure. Luckily Coricidin HBP is specially formulated to provide powerful cold relief without raising your blood pressure. In fact they have six HBP formulas to meet your needs. See them on the chart below:
Coricidin is the @1 pharmacist recommended cold brand designed for people with high blood pressure.
When BzzAgent asked me if I would like to review Coricidin HBP, I wasn't sick but I did know that I would like to have it on hand for Neil to try. By the time it got here I was ready to give it a try myself. I've been taking it for 3 days now and feel so much better. My nose thanks BzzAgent and Coricidin HBP. I'm saving a fortune on Puffs too. lol.

Caring Family, Friends and Prayer Mean Everything
A million thanks you's can never be enough.
To each and every person who a pray, left a kind word, blogged about Zach being sick, we can NEVER THANK YOU ENOUGH.
Every word whispered, said aloud, or passed forward and even candle lit was heard by our generous Savior.
Zach was moved from pediatric ICU yesterday (Tues) and put in a private room. He is aware of his surroundings and knows his family once again. Poor baby (I'm sure he would want me calling him that) still have fever on and off but they got his sodium level back to normal. After 20 hours of nothing to eat or drink he was finally allowed to have dinner. He was starving. His mom said they even let him get out of bed tonight which he had really been fussing about today. We don't know when he'll be allowed to come home but we are so relieved that he is better. Last night (Mon) was one of the most frightening nights Neil and I can remember.
We are so grateful for all of you and your outpouring of love.

Table Centerpiece DIY AS Easy As Pie
Are you looking for last minute ideas for your Thanksgiving table? I have an easy one that quick to make.
This is a DIY project using what you have. I started with an old wooden crate. I used the mini pumpkins still left from Thanksgiving. Pinecones and Spanish moss from the yard. Faux Pears and faux fall leaves from my stash.
TIP: When you use things like moss and pinecones from the yard put then in the oven at 200 degrees to kill any little pesty critters that are in them. Let bake for about an hour. Even though the oven's very low, keep your eyes on it, I've never had a problem, but better safe than sorry.

For the candle holders I used old mason or pickle jars or whatever. These were so easy to make and turned out so pretty. In the photo above you can see how pretty the candle lit glows through the print. I ran out of candles and used a little electric votive in the small one. Note: Must get more candles before Thanksgiving.
I used 2 ply Thankful napkins I got at Micheals. Separate the plys and set them aside. With a sponge brush I applied decoupage glue to the outside of the jar. Then just apply the printed (pretty) piece of napkin face up, wrapping it around the jar. Once it's on, apply more decoupage glue over it smoothing all the edges.Trim any extra. I used a braided trim, you could use jute, to wrap around the top where the lid screws on.
On one I glued a jute bow and some acorns. I also added a vintage key. On another I glued a gossamer ribbon with a vintage key.
The smallest one I glued a circle of just an an acorn. Easy as pie!
Now just sit back and enjoy! I love it! What do you think? Do you like to upcycle everyday items to save them from the landfill?
Have a blessed day ya'll.....

Please Pray With Our Family
Dear Friends my grandson Zach needs your prayers.
His mom and dad had to rush him to the hospital tonight. He went to bed after dinner about 7:30. A few hours later he started throwing up. He wasn't coherent and was not responding when spoke to. After test the Drs. said his sodium level had drop extremely low and most likely very fast. This is very odd because cystic fibrosis patients typically have high sodium levels. They are trying to slowly raise the levels to bring him back to normal. Last I heard he was still not coherent. They think he may have even had a seizure due to this. We would all appreciate your prayers for Zach to be better. Thank each of you so much.
Much Love,
Tracy♥

Get Rid Of The Old
It's almost that time of year again.
No not Thanksgiving. Not even Christmas. That other time of year. You know the one where everything's new again. When you feel like, it's the official time to make a new start. Have you figured out what I'm talking about yet?
Well I'm talking about the New Year sillies.
I love starting the New Year with a brand new daily devotional. Last year I had 3. Yep, that's right THREE -3!! I had one on the kitchen counter that I could pick up every morning and start my day out right. I also had one at my bedside to end my day in peace. And of all places I had one in the bathroom. Hey, just keeping it real folks.... You know you like to have reading material in the bathroom. And you never know, just maybe it provides a comforting word for a guest who might drop by.
So now I'm on a search for new devotionals, a desk pad calendar, and a fridge calendar. There's something nice about having a beginning to look forward to each year.
A couple of years ago I had a fridge calendar like this StickyStock Calendar from Paper Spring. I loved it. You just pull of the back and it clings right to fridge. Yet there's nothing sticky left when you remove it. No residue to clean up. BTW- 'm not getting paid or even receiving anything from Paper Spring, I just truly loved this calendar. When I find something that works, I just want to share it with you.
P.S. Have you thought about giving a daily devotional book as a Christmas gift? My sweet cousin Bobbie gave me and Neil the day his mom died in January. I thought that was the sweetest thing. It brought us so much comfort during that tough time, but more than that it gave us something to share all year long. I would have thought of giving one to someone in there time of grief. I think it's a great idea. It helped us so much more than flowers. Most of all I remember Bobbie every time I pick up that book! It truly is a gift that gives all 365 days of the year. In July - they'll be still enjoying that one gift!

What about ya'll. Do you look forward to the fresh start the new year brings you each year?
That's the wonderful thing about Christ, He doesn't make us what till the new year for a fresh start. Everyday offers a chance to start over in His name. He provides us forgiveness.
Christ Can Give Anyone A Fresh Start
Maybe your life has become less than you thought it would be. Every day is the same old - same old, it's seems as if things will never change. Your lust for life is gone. Maybe it's worse than that. Maybe you're dealing with daily strife and contention in your home and just feel like you can't go on like this anymore. Nothing is too big or too bad for GOD. If you feel any of this then I urge you to go to GOD who makes all things new. Let Him change your life.
It you want a Fresh Start all you have to do is:
ADMIT that you cannot make that change on your own.
ASK GOD to exchange bitterness and fear for hope.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Now, right now, today - Your life is a blank page. A new day has arrived because YOU are new in CHRIST. You can make it anything you want. You never have to lug all those old feeling around again. That's the gift CHRIST gave you when He died for your sins. Everyday can be a fresh start thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do any of you look forward to the New Year just to have an official start? As much as I enjoy Christmas by the time January 1st gets here, I'm ready to pack it all away and declutter the house and make a fresh start.
What about daily devotionals? Do you read them? Do you have a favorite. Why not share it here with me. I love to read your comments. So please leave me some comment love!
Hugs, love and blessings....
