I Want Him So Bad...

I just fell in love...
Isn't he fabulous!!!  I want him so bad.  Come to me Wet Dog Tile and make my me swoon each time I walk into my kitchen too.
Take me away in daydreams everytime I look at you.
There are lots of murals to choose from.
So many ideas for using you.
For all you non-beach lovers, he's got brothers.  I love the colors in this fish.  I'm crushing on him too.  I look at these guys and see friends like Julie at Mamawj's Moment Away and her grandson Gage.  I know they would love him as much as I do.
You make me want to come home Wet Dog.
This backsplash made me think of my friend Deb at Dragonfly Treasure.
A New England seashore border if I've ever seen one.

There are so many more to choose from.  There are mermaids, crabs and lobster, sea turtles, moose and fall leaves.  Lots of naturalistic style tiles.

I love this company's name almost as much as I love their tiles. "Wet Dog Tile Co."  So cool!

Here's what I found out about them as I was drooling like a Wet Dog.
Wet Dog Tile Co. offers a diverse collection of individual tile pieces, called “Friends”, as well as one-of-a-kind borders and murals that can easily be customized. Creating these beautiful and unique tiles is not our only passion here at Wet Dog. We believe all dogs deserve happy and loving homes, so a portion of every Wet Dog sale is donated to local and national rescue organizations.

  1. Partnering with local shelters and also the Great Dog Rescue of New England, a portion of all Wet Dog's proceeds are donated to help rescue animals from abuse and neglect as well as the so called, "Death Row" of  high kill shelters in the south.  Through these organizations animals are offered a second chance in finding a happy and nurturing, and hopefully forever home.  When you purchase a tile, every piece from its hand carved mold to its finely articulated hand glazing is being crafted for the dual purposes of creating a long lasting, one of a kind, functional work of art for your personal and public space, but is also easing or eliminating the suffering of a most deserving animal.

Hey check that out!  I didn't even know they were a New England company when I said their tile reminded me of a New England seashore!  I was right on the money.  It's good to read the fine print.  I started sharing because I love the beauty of their product, only to find out they have a beautiful heart too.  No wonder Wet Dog Tile stole mine.

*By the way I didn't receive any compensation for this post.  I solely wrote it after stumbling upon a picture and becoming enamored with them.  You know I couldn't keep him to myself. :)

As for me I just like the simple beach shore the best.  He captured my heart and now I can't get him out of my head!

Hugs Y'all...

Again the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.

Free Paint, New Baby and Camping - What a Weekend

Spring may not officially start till Wednesday but it was definitely Spring here.  Ever since Ty brought his family back home from New York they have spent more weekends than not at the beach.  It's like winter forgot us and they've loved it.
Sometimes it's really good to live in Florida!  This weekend we had that perfect weather that I wish we had more of.  Not to hot to go outside - just perfect!  The first week of Spring looks like it living up to Spring expectations.
Some may look at the coming rain with a frown but not me.  It's been way to dry and there's already a breakout of wildfires, so I say bring it on.  Plus the rain will awesome for the yard.  Oh' and do you see the weatherman's warning of a cold front coming? Yep' it looks like behind that rain is a cool down.  We may not even reach the 60's. he-he.  Truth is we hardly had a winter at all and as much as I love having beautiful weekends like this past one, cold is good for killing off pest and weeds, and even we Floridians enjoy a change in weather.

Neil & I spent Saturday grocery shopping and picking up my FREE paint from Ace Hardware.  Did y'all get yours?
That evening I received a call from my sister reporting that her newest grandbaby was on it's way.  That's right I'm a new great aunt to Ava Leigh born in Atlanta March 16, 2013.
Isn't she precious and she has such a beautiful Southern name.
Ty, Christal & the grandkids did something a little more fun then grocery shopping and a little less strenuous than having a baby.  They went on there first beach camping trip.  They spent all day over at Amelia Island which is only about 20 miles away.  It's where I spent all my summers growing up at the beach and where I raise Ty to be the surf boy he is.  I love knowing Zach and Ki'a are enjoying there childhoods there too.
Ending a long day with a marshmallows and a campfire is what sweet dreams are made of!
Ty's best friend brought his family down for a while too.  His cute little daughter Tallulah seems to be having fun.  I think it's neat that Ty's daughter's name, Ki'a means Start of the Sea and his best friends daughter's name Tallulah means leaping water.

After a sweet night of sleeping to the sound of crashing waves and the scent of the sea they woke up to this beautiful view.
I'd love to open my eyes to this view every morning.  How can you not be in AWE of GOD's  amazing wonders when you see the sun rising over the ocean.

It was such a gorgeous day that Neil and I decided to spend it outside cleaning up the yard.  The family came over and pitched in.  It was just to nice to stay inside.  If we did we would have missed this.
It was a dolphin right in front of the house!  That's the first time I've ever seen one out there.  Lucky for him an alligator didn't decide to have him for dinner.  He was having so much fun out there and everything just stopped when we saw him.  You can't buy moments like those.

It was such a wonderful weekend.  I hope yours was too.
Love Y'all....Tracy ♥

Summer Days at Atlantic Beach

What's one of the first things you want to do when you leave New York and move to Florida.  Why go to the beach of course!
Neil and I have had the best summer with so much family around.  We got to spend a whole 2 months with my sister's family staying in here in Jacksonville.  I got to spend time with nieces and nephews we never get to see.  Then just a couple of weeks after they left our daughter-in-law Christal and our 2 grand kids moved back.  We couldn't be more thrilled!!!  My son Ty will soon be here and it's going to feel so complete.  My heart is so full, it could burst!
These kids didn't skip a beat.  It was like they've spent their whole lives in the ocean.  The rough ocean had the beach littered with seaweed. There are so many good and healthy things about the beach.
  • It's great for your sinus',  it really opens them up.
  • The salt water will help heal wounds so much faster.
  • The sandy beach is like getting a mini foot scrub and gets rid of all the hard skin and your tooties are clean and pretty.
  • Just the smell and soothing roar of the ocean makes you feel miles away from everything and provides total relaxation.  I mean, just look at the photo's.  You point your chair towards the sea and there is nothing as far as you can see.  Your mind totally relaxes!
  • And best of all, studies have proven that the ocean water is excellent for Cystic Fibrosis patients.  It helps to break up all the mucus in their lungs.  This is a great thing for Zach!
These kids bring back so many memories of my own childhood.  I spent the most wonderful summers at the beach with my sister and cousins.  Countless hours on the beach from sunrise till sunset.  I love the thought that when these kids are old they'll be cherishing the same memories and thinking we had so much fun at the beach.
I love these faces!!
Worries all disappear for an afternoon.
The moon rising over Atlantic Beach in Jacksonville.  It looked so much bigger in person.
Zach being silly at the park.

I love this sculpture of a boy riding the porpoise.  Or is it a dolphin?  Shouldn't I know the difference by now?
My little fashionista.  I keep smiling at these happy faces!
Time to head home all tuckered out with the moon at our backs.....
