More Giveaways for St. Patty's Day!!!!

Top of the Morning to you and Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Since today is such a lucky day I thought I would post some giveaways I've found and we can all take a chance.  That is if you can wade through my ramblings. LOL.

But....before I give you the giveaway 411, I want to tell all of you about my Lucky Irish Blessing.  I WON!!!!   Yep, you heard me right.  I won Marie's giveaway at Spun By Me!!!!  I'm twirling and jumping over the moon and making way too much noise.  I have been so blessed lately.  I'm as giddy as can be.  Want to know what I won?  Martha Stewart's Essential Colors Glitter Set.  Yep ~ 24 glorious colors of shiny glitter!  YIPPEE!!!  I will post a picture as soon as I get it but if you can't wait just click here or on Marie's name or blog name to check it out.

I've really been wanting this for so long and honestly just couldn't afford to purchase it now.  I know your probably getting tired of me saying how much the Lord blessed me with these giveaways, because if the Lords giving out winnings then you would all have your mail boxes overflowing because your all so special and I know he loves you as much as me.  I truly believe this is the Lords way of answering so many of your prayers for me.  I had felt so alone, and uncared for and you all pulled me through, as silly as it may sound I believe the Lord has been with me and is replenishing me in a way, giving me good to over-ride all the painful things that I've been having to hear lately.  You know how I told you I didn't receive a birthday, anniversary, Christmas or any other gift in well over a year.  I feel like ya'll have more than made up for that.  I don't know what I would do without him and all of you.  Sincerely ~ thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

My Vintage Studios Picked Me ~ See What I Won

I won the most wonderful giveaway! Take a peek at all the goodies that Sharon over at My Vintage Studio sent to me earlier this week. You can click here to go visit her, she has a wonderful site and you'll be happy you did. I would have posted it earlier but I was in bed sick.

Boy did this package of goodies put a smile on my face! Look at the bright colors of the hand towel. You probably know by now that the red, aqua's & blues are fast becoming my favorite colors. And with me you can never go wrong with pink and pastels. I know I'm all over the board. I love earthy tones too.

When Sharon posted this giveaway she showed the plate, towel, pot holder, syrup pitcher ~ isn't that so cute with the bright red lid, and the Betty Crocker cook booklet ~ notice the color is coordinated with the other items. It all made a perfect package but Sharon didn't stop there. Just take a look at all the other fun stuff she included. It was all a surprise and I felt like I'd won not one but two giveaways. Oh' Happy Days.... Oh' Happy Days.... Can you hear me singing that old spiritual. It's probably better if you can't. Ha-ha! She added more than 20 vintage postcards ~ I'm LOVIN' that!!!! There are just so many fun craft pieces, I can't wait to get started.

The milk glass plate with the plums is soooo pretty. I'm crazy about it and the too cute vintage pot holder.

One Day Left To Enter Fall Giveaway & Craft A Day Is Back

Hello. Do you remember me and my big mouth. Well I haven't exactly kept my word but I didn't stop crafting. Somehow I'd start one craft need something or someone here would need something and so on and so one. So in the middle of one craft I would start another one. I have been crafting everyday. Ya'll just haven't been able to see it. There is a very special friend that I'm sending something I made to but I wanted to be able to include the tags for a tag swap that I owe her and I also wanted to make a few things to show my gratitude for some past sweetness she has done for me. I'll show you the pics after I think she received everything.

On top of that this camera has me so frustrated it's like why did I commit to do something when my pictures don't even show what they look like. (Sorry, I'm frustrated). A sweet new friend Pam has been so kind and tried to give me some help but so far I haven't been able to find it on this camera.

So now after all my whining are the pictures of one craft. I decoupaged these bird house ornaments. (Believe me, they look prettier than the photos show).

*****Also, I wanted to remind you if you have not entered my fall giveaway do it now. The deadline to enter is Wednesday at midnight. That gives you one more day.****

I made 3 of them.

I bought these houses already built at the Dollar Tree. Guess how much I paid for them. Ya'll are so smart, yep $1.00 apiece. First I painted all of them white where it might show. Then I covered this one with a pretty white scrapbook paper with blue violets. I cut some other flowers, butterflies & dragon flies from some more paper and decoupaged them on top. I trimmed the eves and base with some more paper. I replaced the twine hanger with ribbon and added a banner that I cut from a box of tea and some satin roses.

Here's the back side.

More of the same steps. You get the idea.

Here's the back side. I used some heart shaped paper clips placed in a circle with a little flower and button on top.

This one's a little different. I used a really pretty paper in warmer colors. It would be great on my country tree. (I have a formal pink decorated tree and a country one, if I have the energy to put both up). For the roof I used acorn caps that are plentiful in my yard right now. Then I glue reindeer moss in between. I added some jeweled fall leaves and the hanger off with a raffia bow. Easy as came be. Would be much easier if you have all your colors picked out and gathered up when you start. Once you get started on a project like this you suddenly remember what you could use all those cute little odds and ends they sale for. I wish the mailman would bring me a ton of old lace, toy pieces and craft items. Oh' did you say that's what everybody wishes for? Hee-Hee.

Well, that's it for today. But I promise you'll see more crafts everyday I hope. Actually I'm hoping that you get more than one a day to make of for the ones I missed. They're in the works.
Thanks for visiting ya'll. I know I'm repeating myself but your comments do mean so much to me and knowing you visit warms my heart.
Have a warm sweet night. Hug....Tracy :)

Family Holidays and Great Giveaways

Well it took me a while but I'm back with a new give away for you. This time I'm hosting. I know I was going to post this a week or so ago but well you know how life gets in the way, it's demanding like that.

With fall and Thanksgiving in mind I put together a few items for you. It includes 3 fabric pumpkins that I made (which was fun and easy), there is also an adorable scarecrow box, a Give Thanks door banner with hanger and a couple of fall kitchen towels. I hope it helps ready your house for the gathering of friends and family. The giveaway is opened through Wednesday midnight November 11, 2009. I will draw the winner on Thursday November 12th. Because of the size and weight I will only be able to ship this inside the continental United States. If you live outside the United States and would still like to enter, I could ship you the banner and kitchen towels since they would fit in an envelope.

I have to tell you this giveaway is a little self serving (okay, a lot). I've had a store in ebay for quite sometime and it's mostly vintage items. Ebay has gotten so expensive that I'm just ready to get rid of it. I have a lot of stuff there. I've recently marked things down and could use some help clearing this place out. So if you can take a peek. You never know you might find something you like. In return I will be happy to give you an extra "6" entries into this fall giveaway.

Hopefully this will be the first step to opening an etsy store. Yeah!! But please make sure you enter whether you check ebay out or not. Thank you all for indulging me and my self promoting ways.

This time I'm offering you 4 ways to enter. Here are the simple rules:

1 entry- for each comment left throughout the event.
2 (extra) entries - for signing up as a follower.
4 (extra) entries - post to your sidebar... the giveaway, picture, with a link, to Cotton Pickin Cute(let me know with a comment).
6 (extra) entries - for any purchase made from my ebay store
north-florida. Just click here to go to my store. (Be sure to post a comment and let me know if you purchase so you can get the extra entries)

GOOD LUCK MY FRIENDS!!!

Best of luck and Happy Thanksgiving to all....Tracy

Update on the new give away

Hi ya'll. I know I told ya'll I would post the new giveaway today ~ well as you can see that hasn't happen. I didn't forget but I've either pulled a muscle in my back or pinched a nerve or something. Anyway it hurts terribly to move and I have a splitting headache that won't go away. I hope to be better tomorrow but I promise I will post it as soon as I can get back to normal.

Thanks ya'll & have a blessed night. Hugs...Tracy

Vintage Images For You To Be Creative With

Hey Ya'll. I know it's been over a week since I posted and promised to get you those scanned vintage photos. Well here are some of them. I have scanned both photos and the backs of the cards because I just love their penmanship and advertising. I'm not used to scanning so I hope that these came out okay. You may or may not have to size them. And believe me this isn't even the half of them. I have lots more that I'll be sharing with you. I wish I could claim these as being from my long line of distinguished family members but alas, I cannot. Aren't they great though? These are free for you to use ~ ya'll all share so much with me. Please just link back to me if you post them. Most of all if you make something with them please send me pics so I can show them. I just love to see every ones creations. That's the best part.

Hey, I know there must be someone who can help me out there. I would like to host Fall Friday's starting this week. Everyone could link their fall photos, whether it be nature scenes, porch decorating (one of my favorites), Halloween or fall decorating, fall in the cemeteries ( I think it's such a peaceful place, I know I'm weird), just use your imagination. Oh' an especially fall craft/decorating projects. Ya' know I gotta love them. The only problem is (big to me, maybe little to you) I have never hosted a link up site type thing before. How do you create a tag or button or whatever you call it. HELP ME, HELP ME! I would love to have all your help in posting to make this a success too.

Also be sure to come back tomorrow. I should have a new give away listed by then. I'll give you a hint ~ Halloween.

Awe.... Isn't she (or maybe he) cute!

Look at that date ~ 1887

Doesn't she look young in an everybody looks 50 back then sorta way.

Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks?

You don't see beautiful scrolling like that anymore. I so wish I have the talent of drawing and penmanship.
Wouldn't you just love to have all that old lace. She's so precious.

Umm...looks like he's at a ball just before leaving for the Civil War. This one is an actual tin type photo.

I'm assumming this is 1897. I love it being to: Auntie Snow.

I hate to say, but you know your all thinking it, is this a man or a woman. Ha-ha.

Isn't the back of this card pretty.

That's all for now but come back again because I'll be listing these for awhile. Don't forget to send me a photo of what you create. I'd love to see what you do with these images.

I've been wanting to have my first giveaway and just look at this cute kit that I found. It seems like all of August we were celebrating birthdays in our family. Luckily September gives us a break because in October my niece Stephanie and my granddaught Ki'a have birthdays.

So in honor of Kia's 7th birthday coming one month from today I'm giving away Martha Stewart's "Tiny Party In A Box Kit". This kit contains coordinating elements for a pint-sized party. Beginning with a tiny invitation and ending with little favor boxes that you can fill with miniature gifts, everything is tiny about this party except the fun. Add to the tiny theme by serving bite size finger foods.
