Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets Giveaway

Disclosure:  The Purex brand provided me with a sample of Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets in exchange for a product review.  However, all the opinions expressed here are my own.

Purex has done it again.  They have an all new product.  Let me introduce you to the Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets.
By now you know what a fan I am of Purex Crystals fabric softener.  It's the only fabric softener I've used since it was first put on the market.  I'll go to my grave loving it!  Well now Purex has come out with the Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets and that means you'll get 30 days of long-lasting freshness. Who knew that one little sheet could do so much? sAnd who could argue with that?  Just one of these little sheets provides you big results like these:
  • 30 days of long-lasting freshness
  • Reduces static cling
  • Repels pet hair and lint
With 4 cats and a dog, you know I'm excited about that!!  So, what's different about Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets vs the old ones?  3x's more fragrance for starters and great static cling reduction too.  The smaller box is also at a more affordable price point.  Plus, they work even better than before.

I get the full benefit of my dryer sheets by using the already used sheets.  Instead of throwing them away, put them to good used after they take a spin in your dryer. Here's a list of some uses I've found. (some I've tried - others I haven't)
  1. Dust your television screen.  The anti-static chemicals in a dryer sheet will help repel dust and lint.
  2. Stuff new or used dryer sheets in places like your gym bag, tennis shoes, luggage, etc. for a fresh scent.
  3. Have pet hair on your clothing or cloth furniture?  Simply wipe with a used sheet to remove the hair.
  4. Place a dryer sheet in your vacuum bag to leave a fresh scent behind after cleaning your floors.
  5. Place a few dryer sheets under your car seats for a fresh smell.
  6. Wipe the chrome fixtures in your house or on your car with used dryer sheets to leave them bright and shiny.
  7. Remove static electricity from your hair by wiping with a used dryer sheet.
  8. I place fresh dryer sheets in my linen closet to keep things extra fresh
  9. Drop a sheet in your trash cans in your home. It keeps your room smelling fresh while out of sight.
  10. I hate the smell of medicines, so I have one in my medicine cabinet.

What do I think

I received a box of the Lavender Blossom sheets to try.  When I first open my package I was a little taken back by the strong scent.  You could smell it throughout the room and I was afraid I would be walking around smelling like a lavender bouquet.  Never fear, I uhem, my clothes just smell wonderful.  My clothes smell fresh and clean and I don't have to worry about Neil smelling like a bouquet of flowers either.  You're welcome Neil.

Buy It

Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets are available in two new scents - Fresh Spring Waters and Lavender Blossom.  You can find them on the fabric softener aisle at your local retailer. To learn more about Purex products visit the Purex website.

My Weekend From Blah To Awww

My weekend started out with a visit to the Dr. on Thursday and a broken TV.  Not an epic way to start off a weekend.  Sometimes I wonder if their are unseen forces working against me for my own good.
Our TV is a big 61" projection TV (I know we must be the last people without a flat screen).  We still have a warranty on the last bulb we replaced, so now we have to mail it back and wait 7-10 days to receive the new one. Ugh...
After way too many hours at the Drs. office, I came home with muscle relaxers and retreated to the bedroom, where lucky I have a perfectly good TV.  After taking only 2 of the pills (one a day), I felt so much better.  I think that's because the pills forced me to stay in bed and let my back heal.  I'm not good at just sitting still.
So was my weekend exciting?  Not at all.
I spent my weekend in utter ordinariness....
But sometimes, if you're really quiet, you might see the most beautiful things.

The first day of no TV in the living room was rough.  The silence was deafening.  It makes you crazy.  But then by the second day, something changed.  My mind starts to adjust and slowly but surely, as I went about doing other things, that deafening silence was quieted.  I don't know if your ears adjust or your mind does. I start to hear the singing of the birds outside.  The brushing sound of one cat lovingly grooming the other.  I notice voices of neighbors enjoying their walks outside.  I feel calm.  My mind has been quieted. I have conversations with God and can focus on them, rather than throwing my whirling babbling chaos at him.  I bet he's thinking "finally".
I'm pretty grateful for what I started out complaining about. It just goes to show you even after 50 we still don't know what we really want.

My weekend:

  • Drs. visit
  • Lots of bedtime
  • Snuggling with Mattie
  • Thinking of and missing Ty and the grandkids
  • Eating fluffy pancakes and fruit in bed thanks to Neil
  • Dusting, sweeping, cleaning the bathroom
  • Doing laundry
  • Making an orange slice wreath
  • Hanging out with the neighbors next door
  • Walking to the grocery store
  • Cooking steak with goat cheese & shrimp for dinner
  • Sorting through & tossing piles of junk in the bedroom
  • Pulling weeds in the flower beds
  • Raking MORE leaves
  • Enjoying fresh sweet iced tea
  • Watering wildflower seeds
  • Being giddy when I see all the little 2 leaf plants I grew
  • Touching up faded paint on welcome watering pail sign
  • Hanging welcome water pail sign
  • Imagining what it would be like to have my parents visit
  • Photographing my next giveaway
  • Made a live ivy topiary
  • Eating bowls of fresh fruit
  • Putting a puzzle together while listening to my fav songs
  • Roasting marshmallows outside
  • Enjoying the unconditional love my furbabies give me
  • Taking a nice long shower, shaving & exfoliating my skin
  • Giving myself a pampering facial
  • Visiting my sister via phone
  • Spoiling myself with lots of body butters & foot creams
  • Giving myself a manicure & pedicure
  • Loving the good nights sleep I got after working so hard
Like I said, sometimes being forced to stay home, to be quite, leads to the most contentment.

Love y'all...
But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.

Harveys Saves You More with FuelPerks #WDblogger

Disclosure:  This post was created in partnership with Winn Dixie. All opinions are my own.

Have you heard the news?  Harveys grocery stores are now giving you even more reasons to shop with them.  They're now rewarding their shoppers with fuelperks.

I've been a couponer for years and love the savings, but couponing has never saved me a penny on gas.   Shopping at Harveys can do just that.  The more I buy, the more I save on gas.
Harveys puts you in the driver's seat
1 Shop
Use your Harveys Hometown Rewards Key and rack up fuelperks! when you shop at Harveys. Check the bottom of your receipt for your balance.
2 Pump
Redeem fuelperks! at participating Shell and other select fuel stations. Click here to find participating fuel stations near you!

3 Save
Insert your Harveys Hometown Rewards Key with magnetic stripe at the pump, and watch your price drop!

It couldn't be any easier to save money.  Just use your Harveys Hometown Rewards Key when you checkout. You'll received   off per gallon for every $50 you spend in qualifying grocery purchases.  Limit 20 gallons.

I like the idea of getting a bonus for being a loyal shopper, and I can't think of a better loyalty reward then saving money on gas.

I hope you'll stop back by next week, when I'll be sharing my Harveys shopping and gas savings experience with you.

Find out when your neighborhood Harveys will have fuelperks!

See you soon...

It's a Dog's Life #TallTailsAdventures Giveaway

Disclosure:  This sponsored review and giveaway is brought to you by Tall Tails via Niche Parent.  As always all opinions are 100% my own.
Our Mattie is 14 1/2 years old and we think she deserves to enjoy the little luxuries in life.  After all, she sure has given us a lot of joy through the years.
It didn't take long for a couple of our fur babies to want to try out their new accommodations.
Mattie's pretty sweet about sharing.  And with four cats around, she's also pretty outnumbered.
I chose the large size bed for Mattie because its generous size is perfect for sharing.  Plus I thought it would fit her wicker bed nicely, and make it all fresh and comfy.  The reversible design provides adjustable comfort.  You can choose the side that best suites temperature conditions for your pets comfort.
Tall Tails Velboa Classic Pet Bed comes in four different sizes, so one is sure to the be the right fit for your fur baby.  I love that this bed is so easy to travel with and clean.  The beds are formatted to fit in most crates and kennels. Made of soft hypo-allergenic polyester fill and luxurious fabrics, your family pet is sure to feel spoiled.
It also has two loops on one end for easy hanging when you want it out of the way or to hang after washing.  The beds are easy to keep clean. They're machine washable and dryable.

I love Mattie & Friends new Tall Tails bed almost as much as they do.  It feels so soft that I wish it were a blanket for me.  They might just better watch out or I'll be stealing it to make my own pillow.
Pamper your dog by spoiling them with a comfortable bed from Tall Tails.  You'll be completely satisfied with the great quality.  You can find out more about their beds, blankets, quilts, and towels on the Tall Tails website.  To keep up with all Tall Tails latest news and happenings, connect with them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Win it

If you'd like to spoil your baby then why not enter my Tall Tails giveaway.  You just might be the lucky winner but only if you enter.  Use the easy #GiveawayTools form below.

Look at what a pretty box they arrived in.  They were safely packaged and arrived in perfect condition.  I can't say enough about how delicious these are.  Something about this little cakes always makes me feel like a Princess, okay maybe a Queen at my age.  Even the name is so special...Petits Fours (I say with a smile).
