The Irish Eyes Are Shining

 Happy St. Patrick's Day Fair Friends of mine!  I thought I'd share the banner that I made for this Luckiest of days.  I made this one for my MIL Nadine and I sent one to my grandchildren, one to my niece and nephew in Atlanta, and one to my nephew in Fort Worth.

  Talented Viv over at Viv Out On A Whim made the cutest banner and I just stole her idea and made it a little different.  You really should go see her's here, it's so cute. Luckily she was kind enough to share where she got the precious printable images.  I had found this old pleated crepe paper last year at a thrift store, knowing it would come in handy sooner or later.  And I couldn't resist glittering the images so they sparkle and shine.

Can I Have A Minute of Your Time?

I've got questions.  I've got a blog.  I've got blog followers.

We know curiosity killed the cat and since we're not quite 100 percent sure that it doesn't kill people, I thought I wouldn't take any chances. 


So when you add all that together it only makes sense to take the questions to you, my readers.  I mean come on y'all, help a girl out here and show me some love with your answers.  Please. (I almost forgot my Southern manners).


        1.   Linky parties.  How do you feel about them?  Which parties interest you? Crafts, Home Improvement, Health, Diet and Beauty Tips and Tricks, Giveaways, Giveaways and Winning Tips, Coupons and Saving Money, Cooking and Recipes, Get to know you links.  You tell me.  Do any of those interest you or do you have something else in mind?  Or, are you just tired of linky parties?

       2.   Do you know of a unique charitable project?  Have you read about an outreach program that has made a difference?  I'd love to hear more.  This is something that interest me.  I've been thinking a lot about our world and making  it a better place.  Do you have a story to share or can you point me to one?

       3.  Do you know someone who personifies the image of Adventurist?  Someone who likes to take chances, do the unexpected?  Maybe it's you.  Maybe it was you when you were younger.  I'd love to hear about it. I know there must be fun, amazing stories out there.  They can be as simple as working on a farm to cliff climbing.  

        4.  Miracles and good blessings have always intrigued me.  Which of us wouldn't enjoy a good word of something  positive?  Have you experience something that you consider to be a miracle or even a blessing?  Some miracles are very quiet.   They don't always come in the form of a crying statue.  I love the everyday blessings and miracles.  Wouldn't the world (an especially television) be a much better place if we heard, read or saw more positive news and messages then the garbage we usually put in our mind?


I could probably post another 10 questions but I promised to make is an easy poll.  So that's it. Four questions to think and ponder over for now.

I Have Seen......

• I was born.

• I have bought candy, 2 pieces for a penny.

• I have watched a television when there were only 3 channels available.
• I have listened to the radio when there was more static than music after dark.
• I have hung clothes on a line to dry.
• I've drank coke from paper cone cups that sat in a plastic holder with paper straws.
• I drank coke in little bottles with peanuts.
• I have attended segregated schools.
• I have road miles of dirt roads.
• I have sat in a rocking chair as I shelled peas on a porch on a hot Southern day.
• I have seen Man walk on the moom for the first time live.
• I have had milk delivered to our door in glass bottles.  
• I have seen water pumped by hand from an old fashioned hand pump.
• I have watched Martin Luther King Jr. on television live.
• I have cashiered in a store with an old fashion register and counted the change due in my head.
• I have lived in a home in Florida before air conditioning was the norm.
• I have lived during the Kennedy dynasty.
• I was a child when curse words were considered vulgar.
• I have seen a time when business doors were closed on Sundays in honor of the Lord's day.
• I lived before there were fast food restaurants and drive thru's.
• I lived when you looked up information in an encyclopedia instead of google.
• I lived when "yes Sir and no Ma'am and Thank you and Please" were second nature speech.

I have seen so many changes in such a short time.  Have you?
