Mattie Update

Oh' my goodness!  What a difference prayers can make.
I know that God and his angels are hearing your prayers. Though we didn't find Mattie, we did get some hopeful news.

**I got confused yesterday.  I said we had Mattie since she was 6 months old.  That was wrong.  We've had her since she was 8 weeks old.  Our other dog Tess, who's passed and lived to be 17 was the one we'd had since she was 6 months old.

Okay now that we've got that straight - back to the story.

Two teen girls called and said they had seen her (pretty sure) in the neighborhood and we told them we were on our way. They were going door to door with one of the posters when we got over there. Then another woman stopped Neil and said she was sure she saw her behind a laundry mat. She could tell she was an indoor dog even though she was so dirty. Mattie was up by a busy street but didn't go near it and was acting very timid.

I really had lost hope and even though I'm disappointed that we didn't bring her home and that she's not safe inside somewhere, it makes me think that at least no one picked her up and planned on keeping her. We plan on heading back over there tomorrow and hopefully I'll have good news to share with you.

Just when you think all hope is lost, you find out it's not.
That one call today was like a message from God saying "The many prayers shared have been heard.  Do not be of little faith".

I wish I could give each one of you a hug in person.
BIG HUGS......Tracy♥

  1. Just came across your blog..so sorry to hear of Mattie's disapperance. There's a reason she's on this journey..she'll be back in your arms before you know it and, hopefully, it will have brought someone out there to know our sweet Jesus.

  3. I hope you find her soon. I often wonder if our Brandy's parents ever looked for her. I'm glad our yard is fenced in or should would have bolted by now, she's a runner. Good luck in finding your pet.

  5. Okay girlfriend we will keep praying for some answers for you.

You taught her well...stay away from strangers. They did tell us to leave an article of your clothing around various places...and it will draw the dog to it...maybe that would help.

  7. My second post comment here, I think that's great Tracy. Like I said before. God takes care of his own. We had a toy poodle for 19yrs and she was like a child to me, traveled everywhere with us in the navy, was a house pet a day truly to the word. She didn't like to get her feet dirty outside lol.she passed away from diabetes with blindness and kidney failure, broke my heart. We never got another pet, it hurts to loose them. I know this sounds silly but look for Mattie in the places where she would find water or scents she would smell. When they. Loose there other 5 scenes they relay on there smell, so she's most likely to go to places where she smells food, like restaurants, bakeries. May sound silly but it's true, they follow there smell more when there eyesight is less. Still praying you find her, your right, faith is what you hold onto. sewitupjulie@gmail.com

  8. I'm so glad to hear that she's been seen...it was so kind of the girls to call you. She reminds me so much of the dog we had growing up - Panda. Continuing to send prayers that you find here asap, and she is safe and healthy (even if she needs a trip to the puppy spa!)
    Take care :)
