Winn Dixie asked for my help and YOUR help on a fun project.
With the holidays fast approaching they are asking the question "How are you celebrating local flavor during the holidays"? Do you have a big family dinner? Maybe it's the family you weren't born to but have created with friends. Is there a special dish local to your city or where you are from that you look forward to enjoying for the holidays?
Well Winn Dixie wants to hear all about it! Submit your recipe for a chance to be featured in the final Holiday Recipes to Impress e-Cookbook. After the holidays, top recipes will be selected and included in the completed e-cookbook and shared for fans to download!
You'll also want to checkout the Winn Dixie website, where you'll find tips on entertaining as well as great recipes to help you plan all your holiday festivities.
When the Christmas holidays start to roll around, family recipes are one of the first things I start thinking about. Having tradition foods sitting around the house just makes everything seem so festive. Just sitting out a bowl of fresh fruit and nuts, especially oranges and tangerines since we live in Florida, always remind my sister Joni and me of our mom. That was her tradition.
My family wouldn't think it was Christmas without having a dish of Cherry Salad. Don't let the name fool you. It's totally a dessert. The cherry's add the punch of red to make it Christmas special and the pineapple give it that tropical feel. Don't expect it to last long. Here's my recipe for Cotton Pickin' Cute Cherry Salad for you and your family to enjoy.
I have a special invite for you too. Winn Dixie would like to have you join them for a Twitter party.
