My Cutting Edge Stencil Review and Giveaway
Hey Ya'll! I'm so happy to finally get time to post about some of the things I've been doing around my house the last couple of months. I started several projects before my MIL got sick. Things slowed way down but the past two weeks I've been cramming in what I could, to wrap things up here and there.
For my next 2011 Holdiay Gift Guide item, I'm super excited to be announcing the giveaway of a $50 gift certificate to Cutting Edge Stencils!!! Stencils are huge right now. You see them everywhere people are decorating. I love the fact that you can dress up a wall and paint right over it when your ready for a change of color or design, unlike wallpaper.
Getting the opportunity to review a stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils couldn't have come at a better time. I had just painted my bath and thought the color was too strong just a little too much. I was pondering what to do. This half bath was just a little too small for bead board and I was thinking a stencil would be great. I chose Lily Scroll because I knew there would be lots of options on what I could do with it. Take a look below at how I chose to use it.
I didn't really want an all over pattern in this small room. I'm thinking about doing that in the hallway though.
I love the soft scroll design. I wish my camera would have picked up the wall color better but with no natural light this is it. I decided that white was a little to stark so I mixed some of the greenish wall color to get a blueish tone. It really turned out pretty.
I lined up the stencil so that portion I wanted to paint would be in the spot I wanted and then taped it in place.
And what a ceiling medallion stencil?
Here's one of their videos on you tube to show you just how easy it is!
So now what you've all been waiting for. The $50 gift certificate to Cutting Edge Stencils and how one of you can win it. Just follow these easy instructions for one or more entries. That's 8 chances to win in all.

Here is the whole stencil on the wall behind the toilet. You can see where I used just one section to make the other designs. I still haven't decided if I want to stencil this wall. I was considering stenciling the panel and then framing it like art.
Cutting Edge Stencils makes it so easy to be an artist in your own home. I was so excited when I opened my package to find that they had sent me the stencil of my choice, a paint roller, a really useful attachable stencil level plus another little stencil to review. I couldn't wait to get started. These are some of the other beautiful stencils available. I adore this Zinnia flower design! And what a ceiling medallion stencil?
Like I said there's something for everyone. A rooster would be perfect for the kitchen.
I really love the Lily Scroll stencil that I decided on. I know I'm going to use it again in a bigger room. And the stencil is really large so I know it will be really fast and easy to do, especially with the level and roller they sent me. I can't wait to start my next project!!
